With<\/span>\u00a0unexpected<\/span>\u00a0collaborations<\/span>\u00a0and<\/span>\u00a0a<\/span>\u00a0mix<\/span>\u00a0of<\/span>\u00a0history<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>modernity, today\u2019s design makes an unprecedented break with\u00a0<\/span>the traditional succession of seasons and draws from both\u00a0<\/span>the past and the\u00a0 present.<\/span>\u00a0Such is the case of<\/span>\u00a0Decobel Interior\u00a0<\/span>Textiles<\/span>\u00a0and<\/span>\u00a0CasaGarage<\/span><\/strong>, the home of the duo of Tuscan\u00a0<\/span>designers<\/span>\u00a0Giacomo<\/span>\u00a0Lazzaro<\/span>\u00a0and<\/span>\u00a0Edoardo<\/span>\u00a0Antonelli,<\/span>\u00a0where\u00a0<\/span>they design furniture and car spaces which combine lifestyle,<\/span>interior and automotive design.<\/span><\/p>

And it is more than a coincidence that this year\u2019s Furniture\u00a0<\/span>Fair celebrates half a century of<\/span>\u00a0Renault 5<\/span><\/strong>, the automobile first\u00a0<\/span>produced in the 1970s, which now undergoes a restyling of its\u00a0<\/span>interior through Decobel\u2019s creativity.<\/span><\/p>

A sort of big time machine in which the past, present and future<\/span>\u00a0are brought together and coexist.<\/span>\u00a0\u201cThe story of how we met \u2013\u00a0<\/span>Gabriele Guidoni<\/span><\/strong>, the Art Director at the head of Decobel, says-<\/span>
revolves around an idea, the same idea conceived by different<\/span>\u00a0people for different purposes. Giacomo Lazzaro and Edoardo\u00a0<\/span>Antonelli are designers who were inspired by the world of cars.<\/span><\/p>

As far as I am concerned, the idea sprang from a communication\u00a0<\/span>need: filling one\u2019s home and, thus, one\u2019s car with meaning\u00a0<\/span>through Decobel\u2019s fabrics. Furnishing a car\u2019s interior is a great\u00a0<\/span>chance to prove that style and elegance do not depend on the<\/span>amount of space available \u2013 Gabriele Guidoni goes on \u2013 luxury,\u00a0<\/span>design and quality are rather a matter of taste, ideas, materials\u00a0<\/span>and the way they are used\u201d.<\/span><\/p>

One of the keys behind the R5 car\u2019s success was its style: a\u00a0<\/span>mix of functionality, liking and dynamism. \u201cIts restyling was\u00a0<\/span>developed by researching carefully into the style of the 1970s\u00a0<\/span>\u2013 designer<\/span>\u00a0Giacomo Lazzaro<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0says \u2013 when Renault produced the<\/span>\u00a0first model of this innovative city car.<\/span><\/p>

The velvets and colors with a 3D and smooth look make it\u00a0<\/span>comfortable and absolutely distinctive\u201d.<\/span><\/p>
